STEM CELL TREATMENT FOR MS (MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS)/HSCT
The type of MS that the person is afflicted with will determine what course of therapy we can offer, if any.
MS falls into different types including (i) Remitting Multiple sclerosis (RRMS), (ii) secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS), (iii) primary progressive multiple sclerosis (PPMS), and, (iv) progressive relapsing multiple sclerosis (PRMS).
Promising results and potential breakthroughs for MS have been recently reported by researchers worldwide.
In particular researchers have been reporting encouraging results using a treatment protocol known as HSCT or Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant.
At this time we are actively working on tailoring HSCT for the benefit of suitable candidates.
Additionally, and for suitable candidates, we offer an extensive treatment protocol for MS patients which includes harvesting and applying large quantities of mesenchymal stem cells, usually drawn from the patient’s own bone marrow. This treatment includes other supportive treatments and therapies with an aim to maximize the treatment effectiveness. Stem cells harvested from the patient’s own bone marrow will also be sent to a specialist COFEPRIS licensed laboratory for further cultivation, and differentiation for further injections.
We can also offer stem cell treatment using donor stem cells (including from the placent a and umbilical chord) which are provided from a licensed laboratory
Although stem cell treatment is not able to cure the disease, recipients of stem cell therapy have reported significantly slowed down disease progression, and improved motor function after stem cell transplantation.
